Punta Cana

[Reefit]

Recently went to Punta Cana, and as advise the diving was terrible. I was told by dive master they use dynamite to catch fish, which of course kills most reef life. The rock was all dead rock or appeared that way. The only dive I did there was a wreck dive which was pretty cool. We also traveled to Katalina Island which is on the south side of the Dominican in the Caribbean Sea. The diving there was very good, in my limited dive experience. Next time we go away I will inquire as to where to go for decent diving.

I will be there in may and any diving is better than no diving so any advice on a good dive operator? Ever heard of Scuba Caribe? They are suppose to have a shop right on the beach of my resort but I am not sure if they are any good.

This is the operator I went through. There was one good dive, and that was the wreck dive. The others weren't a complete waste, just not what I had hoped for.
