PURA Phoslock? GFO

Anyone else using this product? I've been using Phosban up until now, and just opened my first container of the PURA. The container was sealed, but the first thing I noticed is the media is damp, and then I noticed it has a faint ammonia smell. Is that normal?

Never tried it myself but I still use phosban, and just got another reactor with chemi-pure elite...interesting about the PURA phoslock, never heard of stuff (even phosban) being damp

According to the website it does come hydrated. I'm just a bit concerned about the ammonia smell.
