Whats everyones experience using this product? Pros/cons vs carbon? I used it way back on the first aquarium i started years ago and just the other day i decided to purchase 2 packs. I placed them in my filter sock along with a bag of carbon pellets and WOW. The clarity of the water is amazing! Ive alwayd used carbon but this time purchased a better quality carbon compared to the walmart cheapy so im not sure if the credit goes to carbon or purigen in regards to water clarity.

Purigen + Chemi-Pure Elite = crystal clear water.

I've used purigen alot along with chemi pure elite. Just like bronze said, crystal clear water.

Nice. Ive used chemipure in the past but i feel its overpriced compared to other good brand carbons.. is there something in it that makes a significant difference and makes it worth the extra money?
