I have been accumulating alot of small frags from friends and LFS ($5 shelf).
I am having much success with most SPS added to the tank with the exception of purples and reds. My reds have good plyp extension but are slowly bleaching, the same with my purples.
I know this is overly vague but are the generic rules for coral placement in regards to coral color?
I ran a search and didnt find much to answer this question.
Water parameters are stable and within range. I can not test phosphates at this time. Is phosphates a contributing factor to bleaching? ( I have been/am running a small amount of GFO just to be on the safe side)
My lighting is 36 3w LED across the middle of the tank 22 RB run at about 50% the rest are a collection of whites from warm to cool run at about 50%. The LED's are supplemented with ATI 48" T5. 2 blue, one coral plus, one purple pluss. The coral plus/purple plus are only on 4 hrs a day, the blues are on 8. THe LED are on for 12.
any help appreciated!!
