Its not lookin good in this pic but it shows the base.

Shrunk down. Its been expanding and shrinking alot. All params check out. I guess its just a waiting game

Good luck with the new one!

I have a caramel one just like your caramel one, complete down to the yellowish tips. (So much so alike that I almost thought I was looking at a picture of mine for a second!!) The tentacles are so long it looks like spaghetti. Whereas I also have a green one but tentacles max out around 3/4" in length. Same tank right next to each other so you'd think flow/lighting/etc more or less the same otherwise. Although the green is considerably larger, although is the younger of the two by a year. Just interesting how much variability there is among individuals of the same species..

I am just hoping the smaller/newer does well

It seems to be expanding better as the days go on.

I hope the tentacles color up purple or bluish as well. The base is a sweet color.
