Purple bubble tip anemone!!!

I agree that you should leave her be. They know what they want. Just make sure that there are no powerheads that she can get snagged on when she moves where she wants.

I can relate to the animal moving into the shadows... You do have to leave it alone for a while, but keep an eye on it. Mine moved inside of the my reef. I left it alone for about four or five days, then realized that it was dying. I moved the rock it was attached to to a "hopefully" good spot. This is the cool part! I don't know if it had begun to disintegrate or my crabs got ahold of it, but about 2/3 of the animal was gone! I have nursed it and guarded it from my shrimp and crabs while it ate - slowly. Now it is beginning to regenerate tentaclesand is doing well!! Suffice it to say they will move and they are not known to be easy to keep. Best of luck.

I am leaving it alone now, today I checked the tank and to my surprise the anemone was on the move comming out of the shadows and looking for light, so I see this as a very positive thing.

The tank is 11 months old, it seems mature, I have been keeping a new mandarine for 1 month without problems, it remains healthy.
