Purple Deaths and Nuclear greens

Hey Guys,
I ended up fragging up a couple of colonies I have when I was making frags today to get rid of. These frags (the nuclear greens and purple deaths) do have bryopsis in them. I have cleaned them out but they will need a little TLC to pick it out every couple of weeks to get rid of it. I have several different sizes and I will post #'s when they open back up. They are $3 a polyp for those that want to pick them up at the meeting or sometime this week. I will only have the sizes I post available but there is a pretty good range......say 3 to 10 or so.
I also ended up getting on extra small frag of the LE Purple monster when I was fragging. I'll let that go for $50 to a club member that wants it.
3 nice Greg Hiller Aqua Delights are also available for $25.
These are just available to those at the meeting or that pick them up this week. I'll be taking the rest to the Coral Reef after the meeting. I also have several very large frags of my Montipora confusa/spongiodes left over for $15. Smaller ones (still over 1 1/2" to 2") are $7.
Once again these are only for locals this week.
So for a recap for those that don't want to read the paragraph:)

Nuclear greens $3 a polyp
Purple deaths $3 a polyp
LE Purple Monster $50
3 Greg Hiller Aqua Delights $25 ea
Montipora spongiodes/confusa $15 or $7
thanks, Chris

lol. i'm still trying to get rid of the bryposis in that frag of nuc. grens I got from you... I should pluck more often....lots of new polyps, but still bryopsis. :)

I'd like a frag of the purple deaths... not too particular about the # of polyps (3-10). I'm just curious to see what all the hype is. Saturday for me too plz. you live too far away!

Here is a pic of the nuclear greens I have:

Here is a picture of the PD's from another site, not my pic:

Here is a pic of the monti. First pic is washed out and the second is under atinics ( in upper right hand corner). In reality it's somewhere in between as far as color:

Only caught 3 yesterday with the nicest (relatively speaking) being a big crappie on a bass jig of all things:rolleyes:
It was nice just to get out though and I figured out exactly where the bald eagles nest I saw the fledglings flying out of last year is:) I could tell because it's in a pine tree and was easy to spot among all the hardwoods with no leaves. One of the adults was hanging around and it was gourgeous. Saw a bunch of ospreys as usual too so it was nice just to get out and watch mother nature:D

Chris, please let me know the damage so I can bring the right amount of $.

The weather is great and I'm enjoying spring break too... playing outside and playing in the tanks. Now it's time to get down to grading a huge pile of papers and watching basketball. I really needed a break because I just finished my PhD comps (yippee!) - jeez those were a PITA.

Ok I counted so here goes:

Maclellan
11 polyps PD $30

Plane Jane
ROAB and Gomezi, 5 polyps purple death(PD)and 5 polyps nuclear greens(NG) $70

Randy

Bali False Echinata (possible trade?)

Jeff (not picking up at meeting)

Hope that covers those that will be at the meeting.

thanks, Chris

wow nice stuff and prices chris. Purple deaths sure have gone down in price since I bought some....:)

Well they haven't gone down that much. I was just offering some to the club members that I had extra and had a little bryopsis issue:)

I know what you mean though. I can't remember what I traded for the 1 polyp I started with but it seemed like a lot at the time.

Chris

Sounds good, Thanks:)

......and this goes for anybody. If you ever get anything from me that doesn't do well LMK. I ceartainly don't send out anything I know is unhealthy but stuff happens with corals and I understand that;)

So, it looks like an iodine dip kills bryopsis. 5 drops of lugol's solution in about 2oz water for 2 minutes or so. All the bryopsis is white and getting swept away with the current, and the PDs are back open and looking happy. I'll know in a few weeks if it's really gone for good or if reincarnation is really true. ;)

Just an FYI...you're mileage may vary and the risk is all yours. :)

I learned this a few weeks ago... I dipped a zoa frag that wasn't looking so hot... there was a bit of red hair algae that came on the frag plug ages ago, and I noticed that it was all gone after the dip.
