i have a 55 gallon reef tank, with a solar extreme high output light. i recently added a purple flower pot coral and yes a know the are extremly hard to keep. it has not opened up since i've had it. been about 3 weeks now. tried moving it and it started to produce a clear slime??? moved it again thinking it was unhappy and to close to other corals. any advice?

Welcome to reef central! You may have better luck in the special forums for coral care. Can you give parameters of your tank and what else you are keeping?

They definitely don't like being moved, and are difficult as you know. Med light, and med/low flow would be my recommendation, but some of it is just lucky guesswork.
