purple gorgonian

my purple frilly is doing great but my purple gorgonian (it's more stick like and longer), is having a little bit of difficulty healing. It hit against the rocks too many times and the bottom 2/3 doesn't have the purple on it. Will it ever heal? Can it? I have no idea!

My gorgonians were able to regrow tissue only around the base, cure holes on branches, and sometimes heal bare tips of the branches. The bare 1/3 continue to be bare, but this may be species specific. You can frag it (cut off the dead part and glue live top to the rock), in could grow over the rock, but no guarantee.

Can you post picture of your gorgonian, of find its name by Google Image Search using words purple gorgonian? Or recognize it on these pages: 1, 2. Maybe someone had it too and can help.

My violet gorgonian, unfortunately, is wide and purple frilly did really good too.
