I am thinking of getting a Purple Lobster for my FOWLR tank. Does anyone have any experience with it to share ? I understand that it will like to barrow. I have a Pistol Shrimp in my reef tank. Will the Lobster barrow as much as a Pistol ? Is it compatiable with other inverts ?

I have a spinney purple lobster in my 125. I don't see him to often though. He likes one spot under the biggest live rock in the tank. He only comes out at dark. I also have a fire shrimp, coral banded shrimp and two sally light foots. Have not had any problems with him as of yet. He has been in there for 2 months.

They appreciate being target fed a couple times a week. Stuff like hunks of fish or shrimp. Mine never bothered any other invert or fish. But I hardly ever saw him. Even when target feeding him I had to get the feeding stick back to his hidey hole because he wouldn't come out during the day. To be honest, there are a lot more cool critters you can buy that you will actually see!
