Not sure where to ask this , so here goes--I have a purple lobster and would like to hear some thought on having 1 in the tank with anemonies/fish/and sponges.
Thanks

I would say try to keep it but I have heard they are very shy and you want really ever see them. But I suppose they are the buffet of the reef so who can blame them.

Yes he is VERY shy--the only time we see him is at feeding time.
But---he is very beautiful! He's molted 3 times since I got him and I have had him for about 4 to 6 months now.

Does he actually come out at feeding time? That's pretty cool. Does he take the food or do you have to target feed him.

yes--he actually comes out to get his food. But, if he sees alot of movement,he will go back in without the food. If you stand there for a few ,he comes back out ,or will go out the back side of the rock to get food.

I have kept small ones in nanos and larger tanks, never had a problem with one.
