purple monti and finger leather

I have a new purple montipora frag I just purchased and I was wondering if I can place it near my green finger leather. Any potential problems there?

There could be. To my knowledge, most "finger leathers" are either Sinularia or Lobophytum. While leather corals don't have sweeper tentacles like stony corals, they release very potent chemicals, with Sinularia and Lobophytum being among some of the most toxic. Make sure you're running carbon and be sure to change it regularly.
