Purple Nudibranch, how are they to keep?

depends on what kind your talking about they all generally have super specialized dietary needs, the purple ones i have seen usually eat coral or sponges and like to get inside your pumps.... nuking your entire tank... i think they should be a restricted species except maybe the lettuce or varians nudibranch.

I had a purple Nudi for a while. I'd have to agree with Castorpollux, mine liked to find its way into the return to the sump. I rescued him several times. Of course, I had the same trouble with the Lettuce. They both look great, but not the brightest inverts. Try one or the other, they certainly won't cause any harm other than regular return-filter inspection.

Tell you what though, I loved my Lettuce Nudibranch till he made a habbit of getting in sticky situations. After finding him inside of filter in my overflow box twice, he dissapeared never to be seen again. Heh, sorry for the OT I just miss my little buddy :(
