Just to make sure, Pseudanthias Pascalus grows up to 7 inches, females are all purple, and are handier than p. tuka
Pseudanthias Tuka grows up to 5 inches, has a yellow stripe on the back, and males look like p. Pascalus. Am I correct?

I have been doing research, and I would like to keep around 3 or four, but I do not know how well they do in captivity. From what I have been reading, they require strong flow, and live plankton until they accept to frozen food.

I simply want to know who has had experience with either species and if it is a species even looking into.

wow no replies so I will give you an unclear answer lol. I had a PP that lived for a year in my 120 before we had to move cross country from TN to Irvine, Ca "ironically". It did well but I had an auto feeder and fed 2-3 times a day. I think it was hardier than what I had been led purple anthias to be, it actually ate flake food and pellet, along with mysis and other things.

That said, I do think PP are hardier than PT and wouldn't run a tank with a couple of them without some sort of auto feeding system, "especially if your out of town for a couple of days etc." I think baby brine, anertia, and small mysis would be your best bet for feeding.

I just got a pair of PQs this past week and it took 4 days to coax them out of hiding to start eating trying all types of small foods...I did alot of reading before getting them ..here is a good article by Matt Wandell

Mike great article and very good advice in it. Plecosword, we lived in the village apartments near the mall by both interstates 495-5, the complex was awesome and I do miss the 4 saltwater pools with jacuzzi's. We now live in Longview Texas outside Dallas. I miss the fresh food in socal practically year round but don't miss the commutes and home prices "thank god we never owned there". I am also an avid surfer "longboarder/san O" so the lack of a beach here in central Texas is killing me slowly :)
