Purple Seaweed feeding question???

Clown Hoarder
I have slowly been trying to ramp up my algae feeding to my clowns to 30% of the total diet. Unless I feed the algae with flake food and let it soak for a long time they spit it out. I have some garlic and will experiment with it, but is there anything else others' are doing to entice their clowns to eat algae? I know it takes time to adjust clowns to new foods, but they have never eaten the spinach in Formula 1 or any algae I have placed in my homemade food (minus the powered spirulina). Is the amount of vegetation in flake and pellet food enough 'greens' to sustain these guys? It has so far, but....

TIA

Mine would never eat it until I put some of the jullian sprung stuff in there. I'm not sure why but my female loves the stuff

Works like a charm!!!:dance::beer:

After only soaking for about 5 min, my tomato female swallowed the purple algae after spitting it out 2 times. After marinating over night in the fridge, would you suggest freezing for freshness in some NSW? I did a very small batch just to see if it works. Between the purple algae fed blackworms and the garlic marinated algae, the clowns should get their 30% dietary requirement.
