I have recently acquired a purple stylophora. It is deep purple with a tint of red maybe. The coral is very healthy as it seems. I put it near the top of my tank under 3 150w 20k and 4 96w 50/50 PC. All the polyps are out it looks nice but i loked on the back side of it today and it looks whitish. The polyps are out on the whitish area. I have no flatworms at all I know that for a fact. Ill try and grab a pic. Could I have had it to close to the light?

i think so... i put an orange ORA digi in my tank and even having it at the very bottom, it bleached to all hell... light shock will do that to corals, even the hardier ones... i would jus move it down low, and give it some time... if its light shocked, you dont wana leave it where it is, you wana move it down...

Thank you, yeah i moved it way down in the tank. I dont know if it is because its shaded in that area because the branches bend back a little of it it is from light shock. Either way it will be better off lower in the tank for now I think.
