Purple tang eyes

I had this purple tang for 10 years. I estimate the fish to be 15 years+ as previous owner had it for 5 years. Recently his eyes developed this white outer ring. It appears to not be ick or pop Eye. He has been sword playing with the Achilles over a cave, could it be a battle wound or illness. He eats fine and no ick signs.

Hard to tell but I had a similar thing happen to my emperor angel. I assumed it bumped into a rock or something. It got better on its own within a week or two. I would keep an eye on it and keep your water quality in check.
