Purple up and B-ionic

I am dosing Purple up in my tank. Would it be over kill if I started dosing small amounts of B-ionic???

Tank is 4 months old And I am using IO salt.

Purple up is a waste of your money. Purple up is composed mostly of fine aragonite sand which is calcium carbonate. Calcium carbonate is not soluble at seawater pH. Switch to B-ionic or some other two part.
