purple up

If your calcium and alkalinity are balanced and at the appropriate levels you will get more purple than you'll ever want.

Generally its a good idea not to add anything to your tank unless you are testing for it and are correcting a known deficiency.

i used some awhile back and did notice it helped out. I think the only downfall is watching to make sure your calcium doesnt get spiked too high. I still have a bunch if you want to try some.

I use it. It dose work I got coralline growing on my rocks. I haven't had any problems since I've been using it.

I don't see a need to dose purple up. Save your money and just dose "Mrs. Wages Pickling Lime" to increase your calcium.

The algae spores are already there in the water and rocks. They just need calcium to grow.

Ditto. I am leery of putting anything in the tank anymore. If want more coralline get your calcium, alk, and magnesium where they should be, it will grow faster then you want it to, especially on your front glass.

I dosed it and boosted my coraline big time, no visible negative effects. However, I just switched to Mrs. Wages, so we'll see if the result is the same.
