So whats a reasonable price to pay for purplehornets?

$15, but everyone wants to make money and sell them for $50 a polyp, so i never got one.
for $50, i can take my kids to the movies, get some snacks, eat ice cream while strolling in the park.
when i'm dead and dying on my death bed, my regrets wont be not getting that stoopid overprice polyp, but rather the time i would have missed if i used my $50 for the polyp instead of spending it with my kids.
but that's jsut me, others would ay $100 for them.

Yah from 10 to 15 is a good price mabe 20 depending of how colorful they are i got my for $12 a p

Agreed. Condition and color quality can vary in the same type of polyp from seller to seller. I think price should vary as well. I might buy a hornet for $20 if it looked stellar, but wouldn't touch it for $5 if it was all bleached out or had a stem that stretched five inches.

Very well said. fwiw I've seen quite a few $5 pp frags lately, just gotta look around and steer clear of the scammers that are billing 3x over market price because they've got a nice picture.

Sometimes you don't have to drive any further away than your local reef club meetings, you should see if there's a club nearby on the forums here. You'll get to know some cool people, and I've seen "high end" corals go anywhere from free to $10 at those

Yeah i spend more time on my reefclubs forum then I do at work. But im not seeing deals that good.
If you were in my area you could get some for free. Gave away 6 polyps of RH to one guy and last week gave away 2 polyps. Lots of guys in my area are trying to bring down the cost and hype, just check around

You are not far from me and on my local forum here in Gainesvile (gainesvillereefclub.com) we have good zoe deals, also try orlandos forum (orlandoreefs.com)
