putting dividers in the tank

I am using 4 1/4 inch plexiglass dividers to seperate 4 "compartments" in a 75 gallon tank. I am using silicone to attatch the sheets. Does anyone see a problem? The dividers HAVE to be leak proof, because we are testing nutrient levels. We dont have anyone that cuts glass of any sort, so plexiglass had to sufice.

Thanks

silicone will hold the acrylic/plexi for a while, but it really isnt the strongest. And i wouldnt guarantee that it would keep each one leak prove to the other just cuz it wont stick well to the plastic. Best bet is glass, but it might work.

Why wont it be leak proof? I have used some stuff in vivariums called great stuff, its like expanding foam can I use that to seal up any leaks? This does not need to be pretty, it just needs to work.

black pond foam i think you are talking about if u seal it with silicone and then put that stuff over the silicone i dont think anything will get through
