PVC glue

is PVC glue safe for use in aquariums...ive seen it used before but all those tanks were just starting up
are there any nasty side effects if it is used

mkae sure the cement is suitable to be used on PVC that could carry drinking water.

This comment works for PVC glue, but not everything . Keep that in mind and don't assume about something else at a later date.

I'm just saying that whats considered safe for humans is going to differ from what's safe for fish and inverts. There a tad more sensitve. No real "object" to give an example of, was just making a precautionary statement. It's surprising the amount of assumptions that go around this hobby. "what works for one person should work for me" and so forth and so on.

Tap water, for example! Although in some places, I wouldn't want to drink it. Windex, most cleaners (soap too), copper, more sensitive to most heavy metals... Humans are more tolerant of most things then your tank will be. Copper is a great example, however. It's a instant death to all your inverts!
