Pygmy angel

Its debateable, but most would say no. I was following a thread on nano-reef.com in which a bunch of people had gotten pygmy angels at the same time for their tanks. As time progressed, however, I believe every single one of them became a coral nipper, and they all got rid of theirs. You usually can keep them away from eating corals for a while by varying their diet, etc, but they usually end up having a taste for them sooner or later.

I had one in a softie tank years ago and he started to nip everything after a few months. I had to tear down most my reef to get him out. I wouldnt risk it again.

I heard they wont nip at zoo's

It all depends on the fish. Some do, and some don't. It's just the luck of the draw.

Well since you know petstop hexedagain I want her pygmy she's got is that fine.

You will be taking a chance with that Angel. Like I said, and I think someone else also said, they are hit and miss if they will nip at corals, zoos included.
I have seen Pygmy's that never nip, and I have seen them that do nip, so it's a gamble on if this one will or not.
If you feed them right, they tend not to nip, because they are full. But you never know. It is still an Angel.
I know alot of people have great luck with the pygmy's, and flame Angels, but there are others that don't.
I had a mishap with a different kind of Angel, and have since banned any type from my tanks.
Logan just started adding some zoas to his tank, and he has a pygmy, so we will let him be our test monkey.:eek1: J/K, but we can check with him, and see how his Angel is doing with the zoas.

I have an argy for 2 years now and he doesnt touch antyhing. he is ok as long as other fish do not resisit his explorations.

I have sps, lps, softies and etc
