That seems to me a lot of fish for a 55, and my hunch is the stress of the move combined with the drastic change in quarters will result in fatalities. Do you run a UV? Achilles are particularly suysceptible to ich, as you no doubt know.

Removing only some of the fish is not going to eradicate the parasite entirely from the system.

If it's been a year, as long as you keep the fish otherwise healthy, I don't see why it's a concern, unless you see a visibly bad infestation.

Anyway, I'd add a UV if you don't have one and perhaps try a medicated feeding regimen when you see some evidence of spots.

I should have said "most" of the outbreaks are minor. Anytime I mess with the tank, they are more severe. The Achilles seems to break out with even minimal stress. He can go weeks at a time without a sign, and the minute I stick my arm in there to fix a toppled frag or clean a pump, he breaks out. The more I do to the tank, the worse the reaction. The treatment needs to be done, Murphy's law tells me that much. if the 55 is not big enough I could add a 20l in line or something similar as the sump and house the clowns or blennies there. I don't run UV, that's something I'll look into though.

did you go to the CMAS meeting last weekend? A lot of good information on quarantine tanks, medicines, etc. I'm trying to see if we can get notes printed for easy reference.
