I have had this tank up and running for about 6 months with some of the fish in that long. List of fish
1) Clown trigger 6 months
2) Kole Eye tang 6 months
3)Flame Angel 2 moths
4) Red Elongated Dotty back
5) Davinci Clown
6) Picasoco Clown
All have been doing great getting along and eating and growing. Been in a 20 gallon tank filtration Tunze 9002 skimmer and a fluval HOB filter.
Problem started with a water change next day Piasco Clown died and the Kole Eye tang dead. No spots or marks.
Clown trigger not eating covered in ich or something one eye completely milked over. Did a floran dip instant (dip two colors in a bag.) I also treated the QT with PraziPro prior to the dip.
Next day flame angel and Red Elongated Dottyback dead no marks or spots.
Removed Clown trigger and Davinci Clown into separate containers last night place heater and air stone new ones into two 1 gallon containers, both OK this morning came home both dead, water very cloudy could not see to the bottom, tank water very cloudy could not see to the bottom, water in salt mix batch clear.
It seems to me something is wrong with the new water fortunately none of this water has gone into my DT. This water is still clean in the trash can. Ammonia badge never changed color.
I have dumped all of the water from the QT and the two containers that housed the two fish, the clown was very healthy even in the QT and the isolated container.
The only fish that showed any signs of a disease was the clown trigger and was the last to die, all the fish died before it showed no signs of disease.
Not sure what happened but it all went down hill after the 5 gallon water change, and then I did another 10 gallon yesterday. When the fish stop eating it was dead by morning. Any thoughts or suggestions.
