QT fish and crabs together?

Hater of Hair Algae
I will be buying a 15g tank for QT and was wondering if it would be ok to QT 7 chromis and several crabs together, maybe by using a tank divider. Any input is appreciated.:)

I don't plan on using any meds unless I just have to,Should I as a precaution? I did just think of a 5g eclipse tank I'm not using, would it be better to QT the crabs in there?

best not to ever QT inverts with fish, most meds that you will use on the fish will kill the inverts. You mentioned that you will not be using meds, however if you need to go Hypo Salinity, like say the fish get ick. It would be bad to only have one qt tank.

Also why would you QT crabs, unless you are waiting for the main tank to stabilize?

Usually just drip acclimate the inverts and then add them.

I read an article from reefkeeping magazine on QT and the author suggested QT w/ inverts as an added precaution with the idea that inverts can also carry unwanted diseases. I've always just acclimated crabs and snails and then put them in my tank, I'm just trying to make sure I get it right this time, maybe I'm just being OCD.

Would a 5g eclipse be ok to use as a QT for inverts?
