QT fish and softie

TTM or tank transfer method is a way of curing your fish by using ich's life cycle.

There is a sticky right at the top of this forum that describes in detail on how to accomplish it. It's actually quite easy, and I use it for every incoming inhabitant. It's also the least stressful method for your fish from the three known methods of curing ich.

Curing fish.....so you are using this method as well for fish that is not positively identified with ich disease?

If you are going to do it, it makes the most sense to do it on every new arrival. That way you can be sure of ich not entering your tank as long as you also quarantine inverts.

Do you dose with medicine on fish and inverts during QT time even though they are not sick? Some people just give them medicine anyway just for prevention. If you do, what meds you use?
