QT for corals

who there QTs there corals after a dip since the dip cant kill the eggs?

how do you run this QT? does it have all equipt such as lights, skimmer, fuge, etc

how long should the coral be in QT?

i ask because im about to get serious into the coral game and dont want 1 frag contaminating everything with FW, Nudi, Red Bug, etc, all the things that drive us crazy

well honestly most of use dont qt our corals. why? reason is if you really look at a coral you can visable see all the stuff that is a parasite when it comes to corals. so basically just obserbe the coral before purchasing. look at it and see whats on it. u can see fw. nudi,red,ect with your eyes. if your ordering online then you do run a risk of getting infested stuff. but anything that has signs of the above should never be added until all is clear which can take months. this is why i like to see my coral b4 buying.

if you know where its comming all issues with hitchicking on corals are visable . just look closly and you should be fine. if your ordering hard core just look with your eyes and you should be good. have you had issues with coral parasites????

no issues yet, all i have are 2 frags of zoos from the LFS and also a frag of GSP and yes i keep it away from the main rockwork
