I've been getting a few different perspectives on how to set up a QT. Now I'm just curious how you would set up a QT for an emperor angel, considering you work with them on (somewhat) of a regular basis, or angels in general.
I was planning on a 3" or so emperor angel.
24 gallon AQ for QT
Fill with new RO/DI saltwater
Add 1 piece of LR from display tank to it
Barebottom
Piece of large T shaped PVC for "swim throughs" or "hide outs"
Leave that LR piece in there for a natural retreat for the emperor or possibly a place to pick at while being in the QT
Was going to pick up some prazipro and cupramine from the retail outlet in WI.
Add prazipro right away and use for 7 days
Use cupramine if ich signs show
5 gallon water change every other or every 2 days
Is that pretty much all you need to do? What's your opinion on the actual LR piece from the display tank? Not a problem? I wouldn't ever use it again in the display though of course.
Also, does this QT need to be set up for a few weeks prior to the fish being added, such as cycling a new tank would be like?
Thanks again.
