QT for flame angels

Hey guys/girls, I just purchased 2 flame angels for 2 different tanks that I have. They are QT'ing right now, and are seperated by a piece of egg-crate. When I QT most of my fish, I treat the tank with copper, formalin, and melafix, regardless of whether they show symptoms of disease or not. I was told that the flame's are sensitive to copper, so I changed out the water in the QT before I added them. They've been there for 2 days now, and they seem to be doing fine. Is there anything that I can add to the tank in order to be 'pro-active' in the disease/parasite warfare? I figure I can lower the s.g. but I know relatively little about these fish, and I don't want to do anything to stress or kill them. Thanks.

you could pre-treat with hypo to assist with dealing with any ich.
hit or miss IME though.
instead of full copper dosage you could try a therapeutic level..
i believe it's .02 with cupramine.
