QT growing hair? ID?

So I have been running 2 anthias through QT/ TTM. Within a day of each new tank, these bushy hairy things appear (see attached pic).

now admittedly there is most likely dog hair getting into the water, but dog hair isn't bushy like the pic.. is the dog hair just collecting other stuff in the water that would normally go unnoticed? or is this some indication of bacteria or fungal issues? im assuming its just junk accumulating, but it seems weird how fast its getting there, and i dont remember seeing this with any other QT i have done. anyone seen this before?

I have had a pair of wrasses in the same tank for 5 weeks.

I pulled out my other 10g tank which has been cleaned with vinegar and sitting idle for over 5 weeks.

I mixed 10g of Red Sea blue bucket and threw it in the 10g with a heater, ammonia badge, 3 pieces of PVC.

I saw that same exact fuzz on the ammonia badge. Before I even had fish in the tank. Did not think too much of it...other than maybe vinegar residue or some dried out bio film from the previous cycles.

I have dogs too.

I am going to pull some tomorrow and scope it. I bet it's dead algae or biofilm

It keeps happening though... which is why i doubt its algae... maybe biofilm..
