QT Help

I have an ick problem which I have been keeping under control with a uv sterilizer and feeding supplements but I would like to be rid of it once and for all so I am going to try the qt and hyposalinity that are popular methods.

I have the following and was wandering what would be the best or most ideal setup for a qt. for 4 small tangs, 2 medium clowns, 1 large copperband, 2 small anthias, yellow coris wrasse, and sixline.

I have the following:

75 gallon qt tank
55 gallon qt tank
wet/dry
Dual Biowheel HOB filter
Aquac EV 180

I was hoping some with successful qt experience could help me figure out what would be the best setup. This will probably be a somewhat permanent setup in the house for qt of all future fish.

i would use the 75 if you can and be sure to get all the rock out of the dt or the hyposalinity will kill it off

I won't be doing the hypo to the dt, I am going to let the dt sit fishless for 2 months and see if the ick will die off as they are supposed too.

I will be doing the hypo to the qt tank which is why I am trying to figure out what will be the best way to set these tanks up....

i would just set up the 75 with the wet dry a little bit of live rock and try to make it homey as possible for a couple of months. hyposalinity is supposed to work really well just make sure you use a refractometer to be exact with it.

If you are going to do this, make sure you QT every single other living thing that would ever go into that tank afterwards evern your coral.

This should stave it off however it can come in dormant on things. It could be on a hermit crab and you can't put it through hypo or copper and it could be re-introduced to your system.

With the current setup you have does the ich show a lot? Usually if there are temperature swings or aggresion it will come out of hiding but if the stressors are low or non existent it usually will lie dormant

Unfortunately it only showed up cause I added a powder brown tang :( I am pretty set on cleanup crews and such and coral are about all I add and they go throw dips and such.
