I just ordered new fish from Live Aquaria. I want to know if I should have them in qt with copper for a while. I got a couple of new wrasses. I will give it a week before I add culpermine . I will do half dose for a week before full strainth. Or what is best?

If its from divers den - I wouldnt do anything but put it in a qt and observe it.They do a pretty good job at qt'ing fish there in wisconsin...If its from LA...the last fish I got from there I gave a 1 hr bath in seachems paraguard then placed it in qt,and observed ...fish was ok for several weeks and added to DT with no issues..
I recently talked to someone from live aquaria and they said that now they are using an extensive qt method in their california facility much like they do in wisconsin...If you can believe that -then its good news for us...HTH

I'm not a big fan of treating with copper unless I have to, especially when you just get the fish. Give it a few weeks of observation as Tuna stated. If it's needed, go for it. If not, you're golden.

Copper has a negative effect on the immune system of fish and is destructive to cells, so keep that in mind before using it as a prophylactic treatment.
