Qt procedure for new tank

So I have 2 10 gallon tanks that I will use for ttm and a 20 long and a 29 gallon that I will use for the observation period after ttm. I plan on treating with prazi during transfer 2 and 4. After ttm, I am wanting to treat with chloroquine phosphate for 2 weeks for velvet. I will not do this for wrasses as they are sensitive to chloroquine. Is there anything else that I am forgetting?

If you ever suspect velvet you better start the CP immediately - it will not wait for you to finish the TTM for ich.

My QT protocol is 2 rounds of prazi, followed by TTM, then a couple weeks of observation. If velvet or brook are present, they will manifest within the first 30 days. I don't proactively treat for those diseases, but that's my personal philosophy (treat the known, not the unknown).

I got 2 valentini puffer a few weeks ago that had velvet. One died within 12 hours of getting him but I still have the other one. In a 10 gallon qt. I'm gonna take him over to the guy who is watching my fish I think, because my tank failed on Saturday night and I'm getting a new one next week. On second thought I'll just keep him here for the time being. I want a large puffer for my new tank though so I will probably have to get rid of him anyways

Should I do the chloroquine first and tank transfer after?

If you have reason to suspect velvet from your LFS you can put the CP in your TTM water. You will just have to make sure to continue for full treatment length after TTM, and always dose CP into each new tank before moving the fish. But in all honesty, if you are doing CP for sure, then TTM might be redundant - but you can use the TTM process to control ammonia.
