QT protocol for corals/anemone

I plan on setting up a 5 gallon frag/anemone QT tank. What QT protocol do you all use to make sure the corals and anemone won't carry ich or something else nasty into the DT? Also some dirt cheap lighting ideas would be great.

I could maybe do a 10 gallon but it would make space tight. I figured with water changes and a well cycled tank it would be okay.
