QT question

I am currently in the process of leaving my 75 gallon display tank fallow to treat ice and eradicate it from my system. I have caught every other fish in the system except my yasha goby he is paired up with a candy stripped pistol shrimp and am wondering if i should remove him also so that he is treated also. I read in another article that its not necessary as the pistol shrimp keeps it clean of parasites. want to know your opinions on it. should i remove the yasha or leave him in the display

Remove him. IMHO. Unless you want to put the DT through Hypo. All fish removed should be put the TTM to insure they are Ick free, then the remainder of the 72 days in a QT

The shrimp can stay but all fish must be removed and treated for ich through some means (CP,copper, hypo, TTM)

Agree with these two fellas.

Shrimp, even cleaner shrimp, can't help you with ich. All fish need to be removed or ich will have a host, and ich will eat and multiply.

Thanks removed him last night I have them in semi-hypo(1.020 SG) and cupramine also feeding their food with metroplex once every two weeks for now. Having trouble raising the temp in my display to 80 but will take my time with the QT process
