QT salinity

I have had a Kole Tang in my QT (50 gal) for about 10 days. I dropped the salinity down to 1.013 (where it is now.) I have a couple of questions:

1) Is this low enough to cleanse him of any external parasites or should I dip a little lower?

2) He didn't eat for the first week but is no eating like a pig. Will the salinity effect how he eats?

3) I am feeding him garlic soaked into mysis or brine or bloodworm and polenty of seaweed (Julian Sprung zip loc pack.) Should I be feeding him anything else - mostly to cleanse his system of any parasites?

4) I am planning on him being at this low salinity for 3 weeks and then slowly working him up to my reef tank's salinity overe acouple of days. Does that sound about right?

i would take it to 1.012 thats usually where i qt my fish at and i have talked to a few stores that do the same

To kill parasites, you have to go down to 1.009.

Will t he fish be safe at 1.009? Is there anything I should watch out forif I do that? Thx.

Fish will be fine, but if you have any inverts in there, they will hate it if they haven't already. Most will die, so take them out before you lower salinity any further.
