qt ?sss

so i have a 60 cycling now.
and also have a 3 gallon nano been up for about 4 months.
inside the nano is...
1 blue tang
1 cleaner shrimp
1 arrow crab "hes huge"
hermits and snails about 3 each
2 pistol shrimp "paired"

like 12 corals
live rock
live sand.

?s are can i take the rock and sand out and use the nano as my qt tank? and what procedures should i take?
also with the rock and sand is there something i can do like a rinse to rid the sand and rock of any bad stuff and possibly throw in my sump/ filter sock to help seed the DT tank any faster.
Please any help is awesome.

Is there anything in the tank that's going to cause concern (e.g. parasites, bacteria, bad hitchhikers)? If not then I'd imagine you'd be fine just the way you are. From what I understand the quarantine tanks just need to be separate from the DT and have good water parameters so that you can isolate fish or nurse them back to health there and not expose other fish to treatment medications and the like. If you've had parasite concerns then I'd say dump it all buy new LR and sand for the new QT.

well not sure if qt tanks are suppose to have L.R or L.S... so tht when i bring new fish home in the qt tank so if the new or my current fish are carrying anything the sand and rock dont host anything for the quarentune process. im just wondering if i can clean the rock and sand to be safe and not transfer anything into the new tank, trying to be bad stuff free basicly .if thats a good idea? and wht about my coral and inverts there fine to be in the qt tank while i quarentine my new and current fish for when my cycle is over?
