Ok here is the DL. Got ich, can you imagine, :debi:. Now to deal with it. I have always kinda been the reefer that took the chance and let the battle decide who is gonna win the war. I have had ich before and haven't lost a fish that I am aware of to ich. I have lost fish though.
So I am going to go hypo for 6-8 weeks. Right now I have the following:
Yellow Tang
Purple Tang
Sailfin Tang
2 Clarkii Clowns
2 Osce
Melanirus Wrasse (trading him to the LFS and will let know ich in tank)
2 chromis (trading them also and can replace later)
2 engineer gobies
I work from home so the maintenance isn't going to be an issue with water daily water changes and staying within the correct salinity. My biggest concern is housing all those fish in QT for 8 weeks. Thinking that crowding would be an issue in your standard run-of-the-mill 40 breeder (tang police).
What do you guys suggest? I thought about buy 2 of those big black tubs and set them up as a make shift QT with heaters, powerheads, etc. but would like to not have to do 2 if possible. Thoughts?
NOTE: I could always net and trade the fish to the LFS, but that will cost me a good amount because they do have ich. Well a few of them are showing signs so I know that the others likely have it as well.
