QT Tank Question

I was wondering if a QT tank could have dead (cooked) rock, and regular (dead) sand/aragonite?

Could - yes. But many would advise you to setup a QT as a bare bottom affair combined with some PVC pipes for fish shelter. Easy to keep clean (which helps avoid ammonia issues) and won't interfere with certain medications if required.

Yes... I prefer to have my QT setups include sand and rock.

I have a seperate 15g hospital tank that I use for treatment if the need be.

I keep mine simple. Barebottom, PVC fittings for shelter, heater, sponge filter, and maybe a small powerhead. I break it down and clean it between uses.
