QT tank water management

I throw this out for consideration.This is what I plan to implement for my QT system.My concern is evaporation management...not sure how it will play out;
-I have 2 -65g Qt tanks.
-Each has its own sump
-My Genesis Renew will drop a gallon a day into each from the main tank with biologically healthy water.
-Excess water will overflow from their sumps into the floor drain.

I think I will have to continually check salinity and manually top-off, unless someone has a better idea???????

Let me know what happens to the salinity once you are up and running (yet?)
I think the continual Genesis dump will mask evaporation.

I forgot if you are running an APEX or not but if you are you can have it monitor your salinity and add top off water as needed if the salinity gets too high after the Genesis dump.

Just personal preference but since I use cupramine to QT my fish, I find it easier to do a weekly 5 gallon change and add the cupramine to my replacement water so it stays at the level I need during QT. I use my genesis when I am near the end of QT and do a couple of large water changes to clear out the copper and get the fish acclimated to the Display tank parameters as the DT water can be dumped into the QT or down a drain. For top off I used an old, cheap top off monitor from AutoTopOff dot com. I think a continual dump would raise salinity over time if I understand you correctly.

I agree..salinity should change over time.
Good suggestion all around.

Does the Apex salinity probe work well?..I hear it takes constant re-calibration
(not sure if that is true)

I've heard the same but you would probably want to talk to slief more about it. Even though it would require recalibration every so often, it might be worth the trouble but that is really up to you.
