QT vs. the Parasites. The epic war

I have had a recent battle with some nasty parasites. Got my butt kicked to say the least. Lost a Hippo, Yellow tang and a coral beauty. That has recently come to my attention that I stressed all of them to no end and I am completely at fault. Too much too soon.
It has taught me great lessons and brought attention to my current situation of my parasites. I want them gone and done with. I have live rock and live sand and inverts: cleaner shrimp, 10 snails, 2 emerald crabs, and a star fish. So obviously I can't treat my display tank.
Question: Do I take out all fish left: 3 clowns, 2 damsels and 1 diamond goby and put all of them in a QT, treat them and leave my tank fallow so all the parasites will die in the display tank? and after that period put all the fish back in and start a new.
If that is the case, What size tank do I need to house 6 fish safely for a month or so.
If I do THAT, do I leave the inverts in without them housing the parasites.
If all of that is handled, provided I QT new fish and treat them as they come in. Can I guarantee that Ich and velvet are eliminated? Within reason.
Also, I asked this in the newby forum and alot of great info was given, but these were the questions left unanswered.
I am fully aware I overcrowded the tank and have learned from it. I want to know how to solve ich and the like for good.

You need to take all teh fish out and put them in a Qt and hypo the fish for 6weeks and leave your main tank fallow. Your inverts and lr and all that is fine in your main tank as it doesn't host ick but can transport ick. After you treat for 6weeks you can bring the sg back up and then put them back. All ick should be gone by then. Now if you get another fish and qt it and hypo the fish for 6 weeks, then add it you'll still be ick free. If you add a coral or anything wet straight into your tank you can add ick as well. Try to buy from a reputable place that doesn't keep fish mixed with corals.
