Quality difference in frozen food brands??

Hi there,

I'd like to get some frozen cyclops. The deep frozen ones are $40! So, then I'm left choosing the cubes from 1) San Francisco Bay company and 2) Ocean Nutrition. Does anyone have a preference between the two companies, and what quality differences have you noticed?

Thanks!

get the $10 Cyclopeeze bar. It should last you a long time (relatively speaking). I wouldn't recommend using Cyclopeeze as a bulk feed for mature marine fishes- use it sparingly in a rotation of foods.

SFN and ON both make high quality foods.

More important than brand: what are you trying to feed/accomplish with these foods ;)

Hi Gary,

Can't find the bar around here, maybe I should order online?

I talked a little about what I'm trying to accomplish in the other thread where I look for a local cyclops source. At the risk of being too repetitive, I'm trying to feed a Toby puffer after reading an article that said they like to dig cyclops out of the rocks.

Thanks!
Angela

Your lfs should be able to order in frozen cyclops from a number of different brands. You can also try to collect some locally at a pond or slow stream. I collected cyclops and daphnia for years.
