Quarantine and threatment for Importer

Hello Everyone,

I'm a reefkeeper for past 2 years while my business partner is for about 7.
We are starting a business together, and are planning to import fish from Indonesia and Hawai.

Since in our residence country there is not a single LFS with marine fish, nor a single wholesale we will be forced to become both.

We have been pretty successful when dealing with imported fish from LFS in neighboring countries, however when we tried importing fishes from large European wholesales we had close to 80% mortality since we did not medicate the fish. Naively enough, we believed fish will come in the same health as those from LFS we previously bought from.

Long story short, we are looking for advice on how to properly acclimate and medicate fishes that are freshly imported from direct exporters. Preferably by people who do this for a living. (importing marine fish & corals)

Obviously we have read on Hyposalinity, Formaline, Copper etc... Just we have no first hand experience with any of it.

Since it would be devastating to kill off another import, it will be greatly appreciated if someone would take the time to step by step explain the procedure and advise on how fish should be handled.

Looking forward to all of your advice and replies.

Thank you for the time.
