Quarantine new CUC?

Hi All!

I am in the process of setting up a new main DT and I am new to saltwater so am looking for advice tips on how to proceed the right way. I have read varying posts/opinions about quarantining a new CUC. Do you recommend placing them in a QT and if so how do you set up a QT while the DT is still cycling (assuming that you cannot cycle a QT while the CUC is in the QT). From what i have read you typically would not introduce the CUC until you have green algae (nitrates present & nitrites 0) and if the CUC quarantine time is 76 days how do you time it so algae does not get out of control?

In theory yes..but practically very few do..myself included. Knock on wood, but I've never experienced any disease from adding a CUC.

I had 10 fish wiped out by not QTing inverts, and for the life of me, I still don't.

Staunch QT supporters will say to QT anything wet.
