I placed this in another tread but i was wondering if any of the advanced people might be able to shed some light on this topic

I was wondering what would the best setup be for quaranting fish, anemones, and starfish. Is any of this correct about fish and need help for Anemones and Starfish.

I was wanting to stock my 300 gallon aquarium hopefully at one time so it would min Territorial issues. I was going to set up a 150 gallon fish QT, one for anemones, and one for starfish

For Fish:
First acclimate the fish making sure temp and ph are close to the same as QT then do a dip of Methylene blue for a few mins. After dip place in QT. The PH sould be around 8.2, SG @1.017, and temp near 84 degrees. i was looking for the quickest way to keep in QT and so i was told to place all fish except clowns in 150 gallon and treat with Cupramine for 10 days to kill any parasites and poisen any eggs left behind. Do water changes everyday and treat with AmQual if need for ammonia spikes. Does this seem OK.

For Anomones:
Need Hep With This One Conficting Ideas
Some say Quarantine some say drop in????
If quarantine what do i need to do to them i know copper kills them and if drop in should i was them in display tank water first.

For StarFish
?????

Ok first Dont stalk your tank all at once that is a bad idea. It will crash on you. there are tricks as to help with the territory thing. and the the scond part.

This was used in the 1960"s If you get your livestock from healthy places just keep them for 60-65 days in the QT tank. Keep your water the same as it would be in the main tank. DO NOT dose meds unless you have a sign of problems. Eny meds you dose in the QT tank has to be tottly gone for 15 days befor you can move the fish and animals to the main tank. this is becuse if you have a fish in there and you move it to the main tank and it poops you have conserntrated meds in your main tank now. same with inverts.
