Would a 10 gallon tank with a cleaner, peppermint shrimp then later a 6 line wrasse or smaller wrasse who eats parasites be too small to use as a quarantine tank for corals fish and rock?
I would use a hang on the back filter and a ball of chato as a filter
A cleaner shrimp does not eat parasites. Having an aggressive fish in a quarantine tank defeats part of the purpose of isolating new comers so they can get adjusted.
Cleaner fish or shrimp cannot get to ich. Ich buries under the skin where cleaners cannot get to. This is one of the biggest misconceptions in this hobby and, unfornately, a very widely spread one too.
