Do I need a light on my quarantine tank? Im going to use it for 3 weeks and only have inverts in it.

Thanks,
Jeff

i dont have one and im hoping not to buy anything else for this...unless necessary

also, what do inverts feed on? they are gonna be in a barebottom tank for 3 weeks (pepp shrimp/cleaner shrimp/nassarius snails/blue leg hermits/starfish/emerald crabs-will be in there)

nice that i cant delete this useless post, (sorry all)
you stupid moderators.
hey why do you even still let us browse the forums without paying, you cheep jerks.

yes there will be a cycle. check out some of the threads at the top of this forum. they will really help you out.

If you are QTing fish and not corals it's ok to not have a light. Be sure there is room light on. That is often much more calming and provides a more peaceful environment while they spend their time in QT.

Perhaps the last week in there you could place a cheap strip light or desk light over top so they are ready for the main tanks feel and time schedule.
