Hello all,
I just discovered last night my blue tang has the dreaded salt bumps..ICH! in my 125 gallon tank! I removed him and put in my 28 gallon nano cube I use for quarantine with copper. I know more than likely the rest of the tank has it as well since that's how it works. I then looked over everyone and saw the Kole tang also has some salt bumps!! I wound up taking every fish out late last night, placing them all in the QT, leaving the DT fish - free to kill the parasite.
So my question is, I will have everyone in the 28 gallon for 6 weeks minimum. I think the 28 gallon is too small for a Fowleri tang (9 inches long), yellow tang, kole tang, 2 small clowns. My only other option is to setup my old 75 gallon aquarium, which I am trying to sell. I have no sump or pumps for it. I would need to buy a canister filter. Very low on funds. Should I do this or will they be fine in the 28 gallon, which is smaller? I have no lighting for the 75 gallon either...it's literally the tank and stand and that is all, with lid.
Thanks!
Steve
