Since gobies (Pearl Goby) need a sand substrate, is it fine to keep them say 3 weeks in QT in the sump part of my QT tank where I have a sand bed? The size of the refugium part is not that big - say 30x30cm, but the water volume is 170l. Should I add normal light and feed them as per normal?
I am not keen on adding sand to the main QT tank since if I decide to treat with medicine I would need to take it out, and it is easier to remove it when in the sump. Or am I wrong?
